Home & Legacy - 2016 Round-up
Posted on: 19 January 2017
2016 was another great year for us here at Home & Legacy. Take a look at some of our stand out achievements from last year...
Home & Legacy Online launch
The most significant project of 2016 was launching our new online trading platform, Home & Legacy Online, making it even easier for our brokers to transact business with us. With new features such as quote grid view, access to existing customer documents and a shorter question set, we wanted to make the quote journey simple and effective. Our brokers told us:'The new platform is excellent, really simple and easy to use' and 'Very impressed with the new quote system - one of the best I've seen.'
There will be more enhancements to the platform throughout 2017!
Being nominated in the Underwriting Service Awards for the 4th year running in the High Net Worth Personal Lines Underwriting category was another huge achievement for us. Home & Legacy always strive to provide exceptional service and quality underwriting and these nominations arise from our brokers' excellent feedback about the service we provide, so thank you.
2016 has been a growing year for our Net Promoter Score (NPS).
Having started the year at a respectable 70, we have ended the year on a high, achieving an NPS score of 75. Here is some of the most recent feedback received:'One for others to aspire to' and'The best of any of our insurer panel.'
BIBA Exhibition and Conference 2016
Our presence at BIBA 2016 was our biggest yet, with a larger floor space and brand new stand design. We wanted to make a big impact and show our continued growth in the market. There was even a mention in the 'Insurance People' magazine (BIBA report) of our 'Simple but elegant' look.
In September Home & Legacy's Ade Ewington and Andy Reid presented our e-trade platform, Home & Legacy Online, to the insurance broker community at the Insurance Age High Net Worth Forum. It was the first time we'd attended the event and it proved to be very successful.
2016 saw our biggest intake of apprentices: Six in total for the year and they have already had a positive impact within the respective teams. As our business continues to grow it is paramount we have the staffing capabilities to meet the needs of our brokers - so we spend time nurturing and training our young staff. And some have already gained some valuable insurance qualifications. However, let's not forget our longer standing members of staff - with a handful achieving their 10 year anniversary at Home & Legacy. We are proud of our low staff turnover, which allows us to provide a consistent level of service.
We even had a Home & Legacy wedding last year, with Team Emerald's Craig Woolley and Team Diamond's Louella Irving (now Louella Woolley) getting married in December.
In July 2016 we ran our largest incentive for brokers, a chance to win £750 in holiday vouchers. With 5 prizes to give away the odds were high! We also hosted our annual golf day at Woburn Golf & Country Club for the first time in June. Despite horrendous weather leading up to the event and even on the morning of the event, it was a hugely successful day.
Home & Legacy is proud that our staff raised £1510 for Thames Valley Air Ambulance, which will be matched by our parent company, Allianz.
