Top tips to get the best from our platform
Five years ago, we launched Home & Legacy Online. Back in 2016, it was the first platform of its kind offering high net worth insurance e-trading. Since then, we’ve achieved recognition in various awards and rankings, most recently becoming a finalist in the Insurance Times Awards.
Home & Legacy Online would not be what it is today without you – so thank you for continuing to use our online services over the years.
Our recent survey of Home & Legacy Online users revealed that for most, the best thing about Home & Legacy Online is the ease/ simplicity of getting quotes. Sixty percent of positive comments mentioned this and only one percent would not describe Home & Legacy Online as ‘easy to use’. However, we also discovered a few key things we should remind you about Home & Legacy Online.
So here are some top tips to make our platform work harder for you!
1. Home & Legacy Online is not just for quotes – One log in gives you multiple functions!
What started out as an e-trading platform has grown into more. Search for a client, report a household claim, or check on the latest status of an existing claim. You can also access customer documentation, safely and securely; quote letters, renewal documentation and schedules are all available on the document portal. And it is the same username and password for all of this functionality.
Tips for easy log in
We want to make logging in to Home & Legacy Online as straightforward as possible. In the survey some brokers mentioned some issues with logging in that can easily be resolved, so remember:
- You can log straight in from our broker website, using the log in button displayed there
- You could save the log in link as a favourite!
- Your username is your email address
- You don’t have to keep the password we generate for you – change it to one that is easier for you to remember if you wish
We will request that you change your password every 3 months – that is for essential security reasons, but we will always prompt you and you’ll be in control of what you change it to.
Documents can be emailed – directly from our portal
Did you know, when you use Home & Legacy Online to get customer documentation, you can use a simple ‘Email docs’ function which is quicker than downloading? Brokers requested this specific function, both in our survey and prior, and the functionality allows brokers to email the documents either to themselves or even straight to customers.
