Home & Legacy policy wording updates February 2021

Home & Legacy is making routine updates to policy wordings for new and renewing customers, with effect from 1st February 2021. There are updates to:

  • Prestige Home
  • Ultra Home
  • Ultimate Home
  • Ultra Motor
  • Premier Motor
  • Prestige Landlord
  • Worldwide Multi-Trip Travel Insurance

Most of the wording updates relate to regulatory changes. I.e. The fair processing notice has been updated and its name changed to ‘privacy notice’. Plus, references to The European Online Dispute Resolution Platform are removed because this service is no longer available.

Household insurance – Additional changes

There are a small number of changes in addition to those described above, which are outlined in policyholder notices being distributed with our household renewal

Worldwide Multi-Trip Travel Insurance – New feature benefit

From February 1st 2021, we are launching a brand new cover benefit to help customers travel with extra peace of mind – Delayed Departure Airport Lounge Access. Home & Legacy travel policyholders will be able to access the airport lounge, where available, in the event of their flight being delayed by 2 hours or more.

Policyholders should register online at flightdelay.allianz-assistance.co.uk at least 2 hours prior to their scheduled flight time, in order to benefit from the service in the event of a delay.

The policy wording has also been updated to contain the endorsement we have included since 1st October 2020 with covers for epidemic and pandemic diseases, including Covid-19. From 1st February 2021, these covers are written in to the wording itself.
