Home & Legacy team raises money for Mind with 25th anniversary online quiz

Here at Home & Legacy, we enjoy getting together to test our quiz knowledge and, over the years, quizzing has been a feature of numerous staff summer or Christmas parties. What’s more, like many office locations up and down the country, we are no strangers to enjoying cakes in the office.
Prior to lockdown, we’d been looking forward to celebrating our 25th anniversary year, as a team, in 2020. But as the pandemic restrictions kept us apart and working from home – we had to get creative and come up with a different way to celebrate remotely.
Over 25 days this summer, while we were all working from home, the Home & Legacy team participated in a virtual 25th anniversary quiz. Twenty-five questions, spanning 25 years to test our team’s knowledge; from 1995 – the year we were established – right through to the present day.
Each time a question was answered correctly, Home & Legacy donated £25 to our chosen corporate charity, Mind. In the end, the total amount raised was doubled by our parent company Allianz – so across 25 working days we managed to raise £1,250 for Mind.
Ten members of the Home & Legacy team proved themselves to be stand-out quiz experts, so we rewarded their efforts with prizes of £25 vouchers for a local establishment of their choice – to keep in with our “25” theme, while supporting local businesses.
And, of course, being cake lovers – we could not let our 25th anniversary pass without cake – so we all enjoyed a box of special Home & Legacy 25th anniversary cupcakes from home!
